A self-taught watercolourist whose Scottish landscapes were exhibited in London at Walker's Gallery, at the GI, RSW, WAG and in a joint retrospective with his wife at Glasgow Art Gallery in 1987. He was the husband of Muriel Boyd and the father of Margot Sandeman. A family exhibition, 'At Home in Bearsden and Corrie' was held early in 2011 at the Lillie Art Gallery, Glasgow.
