Wilson, Peter MacGregor
Peter Macgregor Wilson R.S.W (1856-1928) was born in Glasgow, going on to study at the Glasgow School of Art, followed by further study in London and Antwerp.
He travelled widely, working in America, India, Persia, Russia and Europe. Wilson was primarily known for his landscapes and river scenes. He became a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (1887) and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Walker Art Gallery (Liverpool), The Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours and the Royal Scottish Academy.
